A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a technology that lets you securely access and connect to systems and services on the Brandeis network even when you're off campus.
It makes it seem like you're right on campus, allowing you to access restricted services. With a VPN, you can:
- Connect to a department network drive/file share (files.brandeis.edu)
- Browse websites restricted to campus users
All communication over the VPN is securely encrypted between your off-campus computer and the Brandeis VPN gateway.
